A new retrospective meta-analysis of over 76,000 patients suggests that older adults with untreated sight conditions may be at increased risk of dementia. Almost 1 million people are currently estimated to be living with dementia in the UK. In addition to this, with the UK’s aging population, this number is expected to rise in the next few decades.
