ISPOR – The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research – has released more details of the program for the forthcoming ISPOR 2023 conference. The leading global conference for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) will take place in Boston, USA on May 7–10, 2023 and provide a forum for discussion and dissemination of the latest trends in healthcare.

Once again, The Evidence Base will work with the society as media partner for ISPOR 2023, providing coverage before, during and after this important event on the HEOR calendar.

What can we expect from the program?

The international conference program for this year features a vast array of subjects and viewpoints centered around HEOR. Details are now available on the issue panels, workshops, and breakout sessions that delegates can attend during the conference.

Breakout sessions are designed to provide hands-on guidance, explore the implications, showcase the latest developments, and address the practical advancements in HEOR. Issue panels bring together various stakeholders to discuss and debate current and controversial topics in HEOR. Some of the issue panels being held during the conference include:

  • Use of Real-World Data in the Health Technology Assessment of Pharmaceuticals and the Design and Maintenance of a Facilitating Repository of Experience
  • RWE and Health Disparities in HTAs: Is Transferability the Main Barrier for Equity Data Sharing Across Borders?
  • Pocket-Sized Solutions: How Can We Balance Value, Evidence, and Stakeholder Needs for Digital Therapeutics?
  • What is the Value of Real-World Evidence for Biosimilars?

Workshops and other session formats focus on cutting-edge applications in the field of HEOR, including real-world evidence (RWE), clinical-, economic-, or patient-reported outcomes, patient preferences, value assessment, health equity, and healthcare policy. Some of the many sessions to be held at ISPOR 2023 will feature:

  • Can US Healthcare Data Inform HTAs in Other Parts of the World?
  • Addressing Heterogeneity in Comparative Economic Analysis in the Decentralized US Setting: Are We Doing Enough to Support Patient-Centered Medical Decision-Making?
  • Beyond Burden of Illness – Using RWE for Advanced HEOR Analytics
  • Standardized Assessment Tool Designed to Assist in Evaluation of RWE on Drug Effectiveness and Safety
  • Does Geography Affect Health? Insights Derived From Integration of Geography-Based Social Determinants of Health With Patient-Level Real-World Data

More updates on the conference, including details of the plenaries, spotlight sessions, research presentations, and ISPOR Forums will be released by ISPOR soon.
