xCures partners with Aetion to provide robust, regulatory-grade real-world data (RWD) to progress their collaboration with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Oncology Center of Excellence.

Earlier this year, healthcare analytics company Aetion announced a 5-year collaboration with the FDA Oncology Center of Excellence (OCE) to advance real-world evidence research in oncology. To support this collaboration, XCures has announced it has been selected by Aetion to provide actionable RWD through their real-time, regulatory-grade data platform. XCures integrates clinical data with patient pathology, radiology reports, and imaging assessments to generate RWD which can be used by the OCE to assess real-world oncology endpoints, such as patient survival, quality of life, and treatment-related adverse events, as well as measure and address health disparities. This can be used by the OCE to fill knowledge gaps and facilitate advancements in oncology research, helping them understand more about prevention, clinical care, diagnostics and treatment.

Mika Newton, CEO of xCures’ commented, “Our platform’s automated organization and structuring of aggregated, continuous data result in complete, source-verifiable, and fully longitudinal clinical data sets. This rich dataset can offer unprecedented insight into the real-world patient experience.”

Liz Garry, Head of Scientific Research, Aetion explained, “Aetion is proud to embark on this partnership with xCures to help OCE conduct pivotal research to advance the use of real-world evidence, including in measuring and understanding vulnerable and under-represented populations,” Garry continued, “This work furthers our mission to power critical decisions in healthcare with data science-driven technology and brings us one step closer to achieving health equity.”
