Lynx.MD has announced it is collaborating with Gastro Health to create the largest repository of gastroenterology real-world clinical data.

Leading medical group Gastro Health, who specialize in digestive and liver health, have selected Lynx.MD’s medical intelligence platform to create the largest repository of real-world data to support the care of patients and research and development in gastroenterology.

“Over 3 million people in the US suffer from IBD and the CDC estimates that up to 15% suffer from IBS. Access to real-world data will advance the development of new therapeutics and treatments that can change the quality of patients’ lives.” explained Omer Dror, CEO and co-founder of Lynx.MD. “Creating one of the richest repositories of gastroenterology clinical data with Gastro Health opens up millions of data points for life-changing research”

Lynx.MD is the leading cloud-based platform that uses technology to enable secure data extraction and sorting of multiple clinical and administrative databases. The large, multi-state GI practice Gastro Health collects patient health journeys in single electronic medical records. By combining forces, the repository will create one of the largest collections of structured and unstructured gastroenterology-related medical datasets to enable researchers globally to gain insights into how they can improve outcomes for patients.

Gastro Health will maintain full control of the data within their private cloud environment, including anonymization and who access the to perform large-scale computations, modeling, and analysis of the data. The Lynx platform will provide advanced firewall algorithms and medical-grade cybersecurity protection protocols to enable Gastro Health to develop the largest secure, privacy-compliant dataset of real-world data in the gastroenterology space.

“At Gastro Health we understand that harnessing the power of data and modern computing can support the delivery of transformational tools and insights to support clinicians and inform the delivery of the best possible patient care,” said Rich Weissmark, Sr. VP of Strategic Operations at Gastro Health. “We selected Lynx.MD’s medical intelligence platform to achieve efficiencies across our data network and for the possibilities it opens up to safely and securely collaborate with healthcare partners across the continuum of care to provide preventative and predictive medicine.”
