TriNetX announces the launch of its new data science product: the LUCID Trusted Research Environment. LUCID’s AI/machine learning and advanced, complex data analytics within the vast TriNetX RWD platform will empower next-level RWE generation.

TriNetX has issued a press release announcing the launch of its new data science product the LUCID Trusted Research Environment. LUCID enables researchers to utilize complex statistical tools and AI/machine learning within the vast TriNetX RWD platform, significantly enhancing generation of RWE.

“LUCID is an evolution of our analytics and insight capabilities,” said Jeff Graham, VP Real-World Data and Innovation at TriNetX. “The TriNetX platform has always had the ability to do on-platform advanced analytics that lead to insights, but LUCID takes this capability to another level. It’s like analytics capabilities on steroids.”

TriNetX is a global network of healthcare organizations and life sciences companies with the remit of driving real-world research to accelerate the development of new therapies. The TriNetX platform of federated EHR, datasets, and consulting partnerships comprises a vast resource of RWD to be leveraged.

Data scientists can also migrate their own data into the TriNetX platform. An advantageous feature of the LUCID Trusted Research Environment is the ability for researchers to work together in one collaborative arena, moving data seamlessly to perform complex analytics without ever leaving the TriNetX platform – this breaks down barriers and facilitates real-time collaboration between teams.

LUCID’s complex statistical tools and AI/machine learning enable researchers to conduct analytics faster than ever before and more speedily unlock research possibilities, for example, by decreasing the time it takes to explore whether data is fit for purpose. Individuals have the option of using pre-built code libraries and notebooks or deploying programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, and Scala for bespoke tailoring.

“Researchers will quickly notice the speed, flexibility, and scalability of LUCID,” said Justin North, Director, Product Management at TriNetX. “LUCID will unleash them so they can go broader and deeper with their analytics projects.”

“LUCID has shown the ability to break down each step of an analysis for easy validation,” said Jeffrey Warnick, Senior Director of Engineering at TriNetX. “Not only do researchers have more flexibility and control, but they can now see the data right away to test for feasibility.”

The attributes of LUCID have the potential to be wielded in many use cases, including patient journey analytics, economic evaluation, intervention analysis, patient segmentation, burden of illness, and advanced market assessment.

“The launch of LUCID enables researchers all over the world to generate real-world evidence and collaborate in ways never before possible,” said Gadi Lachman, CEO and President at TriNetX. “LUCID aligns to our mission to continue to build the largest global data and analytics ecosystem that will lead to more discoveries that could save lives on a massive scale.
