Learning by ‘rona: mask wearing in schools reduces COVID-19 transmission

Research published in Frontiers in Public Health has shown that infection rates of COVID-19 in schools reduced with obligatory mask mandates. Scientists from the University Hospital Rostock (Germany) utilized real-world data (RWD) sources measuring COVID-19 infections for this study. The present study acknowledged that prior research had highlighted the negative effects school closures have had on pupils, therefore reinforcing the need to prevent school outbreaks.
