Outcomes research

Outcomes research and patient-centered outcomes research broadly focus on the effect of health care interventions, particularly as they relate to patient and/or economic outcomes. This includes a diverse range of outcomes, including patient-reported outcomes (such as quality-of-life, treatment satisfaction and treatment compliance) and economic outcomes (such as cost-effectiveness and cost per quality-adjusted life year [QALY]).
