Under the Horizon Europe framework, the European Commission is seeking to advance the use of real-world data (RWD) and synthetic data in regulatory decision-making and health technology assessment (HTA). Five projects, part of the MetReal cluster, have received funding from the EU and over a 4- to 5-year period will seek to enhance the evidential value and usability of this data.
