A handbook to handling registries: updated AHRQ user’s guide released

A fourth edition of the US Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality’s (AHRQ; MD, USA) reference handbook on registries – detailing best practices regarding their design, operation, evaluation and data analysis – has been released. The first edition of the guide – entitled ‘Registries for Evaluating Patient Outcomes: A User's Guide’ – was released in 2007 and represents one of the most cited texts on patient registries.
