Janssen (Beerse, Belgium) has announced the latest six data partners to join its collaborative Haematology Outcomes Network in Europe (HONEUR), which compiles real-world data on more than 13,000 individuals. The additional partners include the University of Perugia’s Department of Medicine (Perugia, Italy) and the Medical University of Innsbruck (Innsbruck, Austria).

The HONEUR initiative seeks to harness the potentially transformative benefits of real-world data for individuals with hematological malignancies, to yield better treatments and health outcomes for patients. The secure platform allows for rapid research and decision making by enabling analysis of large amounts of shared — pseudonymized and local, to protect patient privacy — representative treatment data.

Alongside the University of Perugia’s Department of Medicine and the Medical University of Innsbruck, new HONEUR partners are The Research Institute Hospital 12 de Octubre (i+12; Madrid, Spain), the Kazakh Institute of Oncology and Radiology (Almaty, Kazakhstan), The Czech CLL Study Group (Czech Republic) and a group of hospitals located in Aragon, Spain. These join 43 other HONEUR partners, building on the network information on over 13,000 individuals.

Dilyara Kaidarova, Director of The Kazakh Institute of Oncology and Radiology, stated: “In this digital era, it is very important to leverage technology to obtain meaningful insights from the data. We are very impressed with the capabilities provided by the HONEUR platform. We are looking forward to collaborating with Janssen and other HONEUR network partners to unleash the transformational potential of real-world data.”
