Electronic health records (EHRs) have huge potential to provide understanding on the effectiveness and safety of medicinal products, but their use as real-world data (RWD) sources remains challenging. Here, I share an overview and key takeaways from the final plenary session at ISPOR 2023 (7–10 May; Boston, MA, USA).
